The Unwanted Gift

The Unwanted Gift
(version 2)
Same old story of all-work-and-no-play was making Ebony, not only a dull, but also an extremely dissatisfied woman. What she needed was some attention, nothing new about that need. Thousands of women all over the globe were probably in the same situation, despairing what to do about it. What she needed was a solution in the shape of something or someone to inject a new sense of purpose in her predicable life. With that thought in mind, she felt a burning need to get out of her pokey apartment and hit one of the local nightspots with friends who knew how to party. So, with that in mind, she ripped through her wardrobe for a suitable mouth watering black number, then desperately searched for her moble phone to contact a few girlfriends who knew how to let loose on the town.

Life is a funny thing. Little do we know what or who is waiting around the corners of our life. For Ebony, waiting around her corner was Jay; he too was feeling like someone let the wind out of his sails, a too familiar feeling these days and one he didn’t care for much. It didn’t help that so much of his time was spent in deliberate isolation. Yes one could describe him as a bit of a loner, but this was only a recent state of affairs. Last year life had been so very different. Yes, indeed it had and as his mind struggled to wrap itself around the events of the past year, an emotional lid dropped from a very great height on his thoughts. What he needed was a night on the town with the boys. So, as not to allow a change of mind, Jay quickly changed clothes and called some ever willing drinking buddies.

Much later on, at the Shimmer Club, Ebony was devouring the dance floor, closely flanked by her equally eager companions. The music seemed to take on a life of its own as they swayed and gred to a diverse mixture of Motown hits and some more contempory tunes. Allowing herself to get lost in the rich rhymic pulses, Ebony was transported to a place where time stood still and life’s issues were just a forgotten dream. As she spun around to another deep, rich gre, a fine looking man caught her in his arms. Cheek, she thought. But tonight, the normal rules didn't apply. Ebony was out to have fun and lose herself in whatever she chose. And tonight, she choose this smooth, dark chocolate brother.

In truth, she didn't remember what happened after that. May be that was due to the many cocktails she downed. The cocktails her new acquaintance seemed eager to give her. All she remembered was saying, 'yes', when he suggested that they move the party to his apartment. Then, before she knew it, morning had dawned.

Ebony felt him turn to face her. Her eyes drank in every feature as trembling fingers slowly traced the hard lines of his jaw. So strong and alluring in sleep he appeared, simply beautiful. Inwardly she hoped he’d wake up in response to her touch. As if answering her wish, his eyes flickered, and then he seemed to smile to himself as he reached out for her. Even in his sleep he reached out for her. His strong arms found her and pulled her closer to him. Then he exhaled as her body relaxed and nestled into his. She was quite simply loved. Quite incredible really, when she thought about it. What are the odds against finding someone mouthwatering like this? Yet here she was with the most beautiful man on earth, made to measure, every delectable inch. But now she wanted him to wake up, to feel the new day, to feel her. There was a need to connect again, much later she would check out if he had a brain to match a body to die for.

She reached out to place gentle lips on his forehead and move her body yet closer to his. As she did so, he made a husky noise that seemed to come from the deep recesses of his being. Hungry lips searched for hers yet he seemed to change his mind. Moving away from her, he dived under the covers: even at this early stage he knew what she liked and it pleased him to please her. This didn't feel like a one night stand at all, not at all.

Squirming under his touch she stopped his tongue seeking its target. Instead she wanted him to feel her around that delicate part of him that throbbed only for her touch and her touch only. She tickled him into submission before taking her place between ebony thighs. Thrusting the bed linen away, driven by the desire to see her man in all his glory her triumphant mouth moved to its target but stopped dead in its tracks. What was that? It looked like an ulcer or a burst boil. He felt her hesitation and began to stroke her hair and pulled her gently towards his swollen manhood. She jerked her head back.

“What’s that Jay?” she asked, barely remembering his name but unable to control her trembling voice. The question was met with stony silence.

“Jay, there is something on your penis. What is it?” Again silence.

Jay leapt off the bed and began to dress. ˜JAY! What’s wrong? Why don’t you answer me?”

Jay took only 5 minutes to dress and headed for the door. As he opened the door he said, “It’s gift. Someone gave it to me and now I give it to you”.
Ebony lay in bed, immobile, stunned with a feeling of nausea creeping to her throat. Unable to control the sickness swamping her she dived for the bathroom and emptied her stomach in the nearest container which happened to be the toilet. Hands hugging the toilet boil, head bend down, she felt small beads of sweat forming, then pouring down her forehead before running down her neck. Then without warning, she felt another wave of nausea that needed to be obeyed. Falling to her knees, Ebony wept for the first since she was a child.

dang!!!!!:o wow:no: talk about a reality dose, for sure!!!!!!! what struck me was the parallels between the characters of Ebony and Jay, how they were seeking some kind of escape from their life that night, wanting to go to the club and have fun in life again, just feel free for one night....this was a seriously real write, just so on point with the truth...in this world of so many STD's, including the biggest monster of AIDS, you just never know WHO has WHAT-which is why casual sex situations, one night stands, can be like Russian Roulette, you just never know which chamber (experience and person) holds the chamber with the bullet...you have a very real way of writing that makes the story come alive, felt like I was right there, getting ready for the club, at the club dancing away, letting go of the real world for awhile....wow, this was one serious write, with an incredible message, a dose of reality at the end that pierces with the sword of truth...and how not everything is at it appears to be, cant take everything at face value, as you dont know the stranger before you-no matter how beautiful the package before you is, its just the tip of the iceberg, not the whole story to a person....and a very fitting title, got my curiosity going....wow....you should publish this story...go and check out the Authors Den and see where you can submit this write!! alot of people need to be reminded of this, talk about a rude awakening, a.k.a-'reality dose'...God Bless UR steps~*

Thankyou, for your feedback Soar. Yes, I was thinking of adding to it and trying to publish. But in truth, I wasn't sure it was good enough...I will check out the link, thankyou again.

oh trust me, it IS good enough, & then some..I like stories that have a surprise twist at the end & leave you pondering what it meant..this has that, with a sword of truth attached....& to have the woman crying at the end for the first time since she was a child, powerful...another way you could say that is 'she cried an honest cry like she hadn't in a long time, a real cry like she did as child'. Talk about a woman's worst nightmare (a man's too if the scenario was reversed), this situation would be SO scary to encounter! you just never know about another person and their history, is why women (and men) need to be more careful who they give the precious gift of trust and selves to....anyhow, this should definitely be published, a 'wake up call' kind of write that alot of people could use reminding of...I will read your other stories when I get a chance..God Bless UR steps~*

good-afternoon redflame2008,

glad to see u still writing short stories, etc...

The Unwanted Gift ~ This story is being played out daily... Women in general who seem to have it all, but really still desire companionship per say...

There a beautiful woman stood... Yes Ebony wanted to break from her routine and have alittle fun for a change...

On the other hand, there is Jay who seemed to be shy, yet still carried a deep secret... Soon those 2 souls would meet at the club... Dancing, drinking lead to a night of LUST literally... Only sadly to be awaken to a RUDE REALITY... yeah Jay felt the need to pass on a STD, and just didn't care... Jetting out the door, as Ebony lay crying alone... Can't imagine catching something and so on... Yes people must be CAREFUL these days...

In summary, u continue to touch base on reality which is a good thing...

have a nice day...

sincerely,

Mood: Wrapped In Love and Loving the realities of it

Eeeeewwww, it stinks knowing how darn true this story is in this world! I absolutely loved this story Redflame!!!! Why people feel that they have to follow in the footsteps of those before them is completely baffling to me. This is a great lesson to be learned, one should always be careful of those they interact with no matter what the circumstance. It almost makes you wonder if those "risky nights" to get away from the norm will actually be worth it. Totally loved it babe hippy25

Reading this was and still is a warning about using protection for the collection. Some don't take time to think you should also think twice before you let anyone put their lips on you as well. Something to think ponder
