surrender~*

I am trying Lord, really I am
I just dont know if I can
its so hard to do
to learn to 100%
trust in You
letting go of my vice-grip will
over my life
gritting my teeth against the strife
taking place within my being
a relinquishing of everything
this semblance of control
with complete trust in YoU my goal
for all of this cOnTroL is taking its toll
spiritually and physically and mentally exhausting
imprisoning
guarding
protecting
rejecting
vulnerability
a flower in the rain
rooted in your love
learning to be a dove
retracting talons in
flight of the eagle done, for now
relent
descent
need to learn how
to stop fighting for and guarding
protecting this heart
and let your lOvE and healing start
tight fisting it for so long
hard to learn a new song
letting you have your way
and complete say
trust
amazing grace
release
let go
deep breath
ready
yielding
open arms
co-pilot
submission
acceptance
fReE-falling
soft place to fall

Amen.
Life is so easy when you surrender.
He wants it all.
And when you give him your all and recognizes
his power in your life, you win.
With the lord you win!
Keep him by your side.
Within and without~

we all fight demons from within, but it's even worser when one is looking to yield before thy lord... seems to me you know what's right yet still outside forces are at work... we both know the devil luvs to play games so one must be even more forceful in blocking such advances... on the real still nice of u to share this as do know many of thy fellow poets can relate... u will win this battle and forever serve the lord in a christian way... in summary SURRENDER while intaking thy blessings daily...

Mood: In LOVE with life

Soar....I don't know why or how it is that I've never read or commented on these words until now but wow....

I enjoyed this read so much because it reminded of two scriptures that I truly love so much Ps 55:22 and James 4:8 -- both speak different thing but the end results are the same...throwing our burdens on our heavenly Father and allowing him to sustain us....in James it talks about drawing close to him and him in turn coming close to us...all possible if we completely and fully trust in him and what a feeling indeed when we can let go.....COMPLETELY!

its so hard to do
to learn to 100%
trust in You
letting go of my vice-grip will
over my life
gritting my teeth against the strife
taking place within my being
a relinquishing of everything
this semblance of control
with complete trust in YoU my goal
for all of this cOnTroL is taking its toll
spiritually and physically and mentally exhausting

We are so used to throwing it all over our shoulders and pulling our own burdens and problems along the way with us. As hard as it is to not want to do it all on our when we're so used to doing it all on our own.
Trusting
Believing
Allowing
then....
reaping the benefits of it all....
It's all he asks of us...

Thank you for these words....reminders are good for us and this indeed served as one.
