Not in Vain....

Not In Vain
You reject me when I speak to your heart, you
say to yourself, I need no new start. I speak
to you through my creation, yet you continue
in your abomination. I stand and knock at
your door, soon I will no more. Judge me not
because of the way things are, I long to
bless you above far. Take the scales from
your eyes to see, I desire to comfort your
fears continuously. Receive me into your
stony, wounded heart, my love and spirit will
never depart. The broken pieces I promise to
mend, what better love than one who lays his
life down for a friend. I chose to die this
horrific death and with my love for you I
gave up my last breadth. I gave up my life,
for this world have slain, please my friend
let it be not in vain.

Not in Vain, NO!!

intimacyme, When I read this I am thinking of a bigger picture involved and yet at the same time Jesus did say if you do to the least of me you have done it to me. Well that goes to show that the bigger picture count all across the board if it meets the standard that has been set out. No doubt we will meet opposition but keep our faith palys an important aspect as to how we will recieve God, I must admit this is very thought provoking in its own right, thanks.........G

not in vain

Absolutely loved this poem. It gives a deep meaning to all of those who are thinking, "Why should I follow God?" Well this poem gives a good reason and explanation. So that all of Jesus's work won't be for nothing. He saved us from the dark pits of hell for eternity!! Our soul belongs to him. What a wonderful father we have!!!!!

I love these lines:
I chose to die this
horrific death and with my love for you I
gave up my last breadth. I gave up my life,
for this world have slain, please my friend
let it be not in vain.

Intimacyme

This was indeed a piece to make one think and honestly question ourselves. Self examination plays a key role in our spiritual growth. I read this and asked myself: How do I view the great sacrifice of the Christ? How do I TRULY view his sacrifice? Do my actions show that I appreciate him? Does my attitude reflect this in how he dealt with mankind when on earth? Am I obedient with a complete heart? Can I be obedient even to death? Knowing that I am imperfect isn't an excuse for me to NOT strive to show my love and deep gratitude for what has taken place and strive to be a better person bringing my life in harmony with God's standards.
Without appreciating God's greatest act of love in the sacrifice of his ONLY begotten Son, what is there for me to look forward to.
Thanks for these words.
